Senior Software Engineer, Backend
Own the core systems behind creator marketing at the scale of paid media.
About Launchpoint
Launchpoint runs creator campaigns end to end: sourcing, briefing, review, tracking, and payouts. Brands like Uber, Capital One, Kalshi, Dr Pepper, and Higgsfield use it to put hundreds of creators to work at once and see exactly what each video did.
More than 160,000 verified creators are on the platform.
The role
A very small engineering team carries all of Launchpoint. More than 160,000 creators, some of the most demanding brands in the world, and real money moving every week depend on what that team builds being right.
The problems are hard in every direction at once: scale, correctness, adversarial behavior, and speed. Most of them have no playbook. There is no ticket queue and nobody standing between you and the problem. You will own large parts of the platform outright, and the bar for what ships is high.
This role is for someone who wants the hardest work of their career so far and more responsibility than a larger company would hand them for years.
What you'll do
- Own core backend systems end to end, from the first design through production and everything that happens after.
- Build for volume that grows every month, in a domain where a wrong number costs someone real money.
- Solve problems nobody has written the answer to: messy real-world data, people actively trying to game the system, and infrastructure that has to hold under load.
- Apply AI where it changes what a small team is capable of.
- Set the technical bar for architecture, code quality, and how fast the team ships.
- Work directly with customers and decide what gets built, not just how.
What we're looking for
- 2–5 years building and running production backend systems.
- Exceptional TypeScript. We write TypeScript across the stack, with React Native on mobile.
- Depth in data modeling and in making systems fast and correct at scale.
- A record of taking hard, ambiguous problems to production with very little oversight.
- High standards and high speed at the same time. You don't trade one for the other.
- Product judgment. You care whether what you shipped moved a number for a customer.
Nice to have
- Time in adtech, a marketplace, or a payments product.
- Experience at a fast-growing startup, or on a high-scale team at a larger company.
- Work on systems where money or trust was on the line.
- AI features you shipped that real users depend on.
Compensation
$150k – $250k base salary and up to 1% equity. Where you land in the band depends on experience and the scope you take on.
Benefits
- Unlimited PTO
- Health insurance
