YouTube API Services
Launchpoint uses YouTube API Services. Your use of Launchpoint’s YouTube features is also governed by the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google’s handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. When you connect your YouTube channel to Launchpoint through Google sign-in, we access the following through the YouTube Data API:
- Channel profile: Channel ID, title, handle, avatar image, description, and subscriber count.
- Video metadata: Video ID, title, description, publish date, duration, thumbnail, and privacy status for videos you publish as part of a campaign.
- Public video statistics: View count, like count, and comment count.
- Paid promotion status: Whether a video is marked as containing paid product placement, which we use to confirm that required ad disclosures are present.
We use this data to confirm that you control the channel you connected, to calculate performance-based payouts on your campaign content, to show campaign performance to the brand that commissioned the campaign, and to check that required disclosures are in place. We request read-only access only. Launchpoint never uploads, edits, deletes, rates, or comments on anything on your channel.
Revoking Access and Deleting YouTube Data
You can stop Launchpoint from accessing your YouTube data at any time, in either of two ways:
- In the Launchpoint app: Disconnect your YouTube account from your profile settings. This revokes our access immediately.
- Through Google: Revoke Launchpoint’s access on the Google security settings page at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.
When you revoke access by either method, we delete all YouTube data obtained under that authorization within 7 calendar days. You may also request deletion of stored YouTube data at any time by emailing privacy@launchpointhq.com, and we will delete it within 7 calendar days. Deleting data stored by Launchpoint does not delete or change anything stored by YouTube; to remove data held by YouTube, use YouTube directly. While your authorization remains active, we verify at least every 30 days that it has not been revoked and that your campaign videos are still available on YouTube, and we refresh or delete stored YouTube data accordingly.
